Hey guys see what you think about this idea. What if we could start posting a board just for videos. A lot of videos are self-explanatory for blind people, and they're pretty interesting. I mean, unusual videos what would really be cool is how different this board would be. They could be videos of someone's family doing something unusual, comedy videos, videos about pets, and would be family friendly, so even the little kids whose parents belong to this site could watch them. There could be different categories, so if you wanted to watch a video about pets, you could just click on it. A lot of times, we get kind of left out in the cold when it comes to videos. But people are always forwarding me really interesting ones, and I can figure out what's going on. Anyway, just an idea.
wow......cool idea!. actually....how about, "videos and audio". as for the diffrent catogries you mentioned, not sure how that would work....unless each category has it's own post....and we just keep ading to it. that way...all the videos fit together
We'd have to have Vidio/audio CL's.
First, someone have to remove broken links.
second, someone have to go through and make sure that stuff is posted under the right catigory (You think everyone will post everything in its proper catigory?)
Third, ware can one upload these things. Are you talking something like Utube?

video takes up a huge amount of bandwidth, far more than audio does. Having video on the site would slow it down no end.
I think it's a bad idea sorry, if people want to share their videoes, post them on youtube and put links on the boards.
Yeah, that's probably a better idea, to put videos either in Live Journal, Myspace, Facebook, Youtube or whatever. If Zoners felt they had to post their videos and/or audio on here, well, there's plenty of opportunities for them to post links to the above websites in their profiles. I don't feel we really need to slow The Zone down like that.

Well, you're all right. Hadn't thought of that. But the audio thing sounds like a good idea We could maybe have cds, and other recordings. Just make it an entertainment board. What do you think?.
i think that too much audio would take up ungodly amounts of bandwidth and slow the site down alot. so more bandwidth that it takes to run the zone=higher costs for premium memberships. and also, lets not forget the dial-up user as well. that would be horrible for them to come on a site that is already compromised in speed due to the audio or video clogging up the bandwidth. i like the idea that if u want to share something, post it to youtube or whatever and post the links to your content on the boards.
